FILTER PRESS CLOTHS

CAULKED, GASKETED, RECESSED CHAMBER CLOTHS (CGR)
CGR plates provide a virtually leak-proof filter press.  Cloths for these plates are octagonal-shaped, with a caulking cord sewn into the periphery.  When properly installed inside the gasketed surface of the plate, a "leak-proof" seal results.

Cloths are not interchangeable among the various plate manufacturers.  Albax can, however, provide cloths to fit any plate available.   A single, simple measurement will identify the plate and proper cloth to be used.   Please see HOW TO MEASURE. 

PLATE & FRAME CLOTHS
These cloths are made to drape over the plates of a plate and frame filter press.   Although the plate and frame filter press is hardly ideal for waste water treatment, its rugged construction has resulted in a large number in use, and Albax manufactures cloths for the many units in service.

RECESSED CHAMBER, NON-GASKETED CLOTHS
Non-gasketed cloths are somewhat easier to install and replace than CGR cloths.   These rectangular cloths extend beyond the plate edges, and are furnished with grommeted fasteners.  

Many non-gasketed replacement cloths have untreated edges which contribute to filter press leakage.  Albax non-gasketed cloths are treated with a perimeter latex sealer, which helps to minimize leakage.

Options include; brass & plastic grommets and Velcro closure strips.
